We are a privately-owned early childhood education & care organisation with centres located in Glen Iris, Glen Waverley, Ringwood and Wheelers Hill, and service all areas surrounding those Melbourne locations.

Are you interested in joining our organisation but aren’t sure what opportunities are available? We have lots of different roles at our centres, including roles for those who are new to the sector and those who have been in the field for a very long time.

When making the move to a new service or starting your early childhood career, it is important to know how the centre will support you throughout your employment.

You may have noticed that the children play with very random materials while at our centres. These items are called “loose parts” which is a term to describe open-ended materials. They do not come with a set of directions or an implied “right way to use them”. Some may consider loose parts “junk”, but these items are very beneficial to children’s development.

Glen Iris Childcare and Kindergarten has been a part of the Glen Iris community since its establishment in February 2015. With 4 rooms catering for children aged from 6 weeks to 6 years, the team at Glen Iris supports 82 children daily.

Wheelers Hill Childcare Centre has been a part of the Wheelers Hill community since its establishment in June 2012. With 5 rooms catering for children aged from 6 weeks to 6 years, the team at Wheelers Hill are able to support 101 children daily.

Sadly, this is a quote we know all too well. Over the years, we have heard this comment made by many families, friends, peers, and members of the community. So, we have dedicated our first blog post to the importance of play.

Self-regulation is the ability to understand and manage your own behaviour and your reactions to feelings and the things happening around you. Children start developing this ability from around 12 months, and will get better at regulating their emotions as they grow & develop.

Did you know that our play-based philosophy flows through all the way through into our kindergarten programs? A lot of research has been conducted to show that children do not need to do any formal academics prior to moving off to primary school - this is what their prep year is for: preparation!

We just love to celebrate special events at Trident Early Learning, particularly when families can get involved. Each year, we develop special calendars of events full of family activities, special days, and fundraising opportunities.
